Bloom Belly Dance (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect when you use bloombellydance.co.uk, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect personal data in the following ways:

• Contact form or direct email: when you get in touch — whether through the contact form or by emailing us directly — we collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message.
• Bookings and payments: when you book a class or block, we collect your name, email address, and payment details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your card details ourselves.
• Newsletter/mailing list: if you sign up, we collect your email address (and name, if provided) to send you updates about classes.
• Website analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (see Cookies, below).

We do not collect any special category data (such as health information) through the website. If you tell us about an injury or health condition relevant to attending a class, we’ll only use that information to support you safely in class and won’t retain it longer than necessary.

We share personal data with the following third parties, only as needed to run the business:

• Hostinger — our website and email hosting provider. All data submitted through our site (bookings, contact form, newsletter signups) and emails sent to us are stored on our hosting account.
• Stripe/WooCommerce — to process payments securely.
• Google Analytics — to understand website traffic. Google may process this data outside the UK/EEA, under its standard contractual safeguards.

Bookings, the contact form, and newsletter signups are handled by plugins running on our own website. These don’t send your data to any outside company beyond what’s listed above.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Our website uses cookies to make the site work and to understand how visitors use it. For details on the specific cookies we use, their purpose, and how long they last, please read our Cookie Policy.

How consent works: when you first visit the site, a cookie banner asks for your consent before any non-essential (analytics) cookies are set. If you don’t consent, only strictly necessary cookies are used. • Enquiry and booking data: kept for as long as needed to provide the class and deal with any related questions, then deleted after a reasonable period unless we’re required to keep it longer (e.g. for tax records).
• Newsletter data: kept until you unsubscribe.
• Payment records: retained as required by Stripe and UK tax law (typically 6 years for financial records).

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to how we use your data
• Receive your data in a portable format
