FROM THE CLASS

“Andreea is such a wonderful belly dance teacher! She is passionate, patient, encouraging, and incredibly inspiring. Her classes are always full of positive energy, and she makes everyone feel comfortable and confident, no matter their level.

I’ve not only learned beautiful dance techniques from her, but also gained more confidence, strength, and joy. Thank you, Andreea, for making every class so enjoyable! ❤️💃✨”

Zhuomin

“I have been going to Andreea’s belly dancing classes for the last 18 months and I love them! There’s lots of variety, with different styles of dancing and genres of music. Andreea is professional but friendly, and brings fun and energy to each class.

With more complex sections of dance, Andreea finds a way of explaining and demonstrating these so that all abilities feel involved. Would highly recommend.”

My story

I walked into my first class over 15 years ago, looking for something new and fun. I didn’t expect it to become such a big part of my life! What kept me coming back was how good it felt to move to the music!

I’ve kept training and developing ever since – studying with teachers across the UK, Europe and Cairo – and I’ve been teaching for over 9 years now, most recently building Bloom from the ground up here in Edinburgh.

A TYPICAL CLASS

Here’s what happens

01

Arrive

Come 5-10 minutes early. I’ll say hello and show you where to put your things.

02

Warm-up

A few minutes of gentle mobility work to prepare for movement.

03

Technique and drills

We break down movements, with options to suit all levels.

04

Dance it

We put the movements to music in combinations and dance to the music.

05

Cool down

A short cool-down with gentle stretches.

The combinations build into a choreography, and more!

Each week’s combination joins together across the block, so by the end, you will have learned a short choreography made from the movements you’ve been learning. You leave with something concrete you can actually dance.

At the same time, each class stands on its own, so if you can only join for drop-ins, that’s ok.

Each block includes, besides the full choreography, personal feedback, video recordings and a class WhatsApp group to share playlists and updates.
