Live instruction, in person

Five 60-minute classes taught in the room with guidance and cues on technique.

Individual feedback for every student

A personal note at the end of the block on what’s working and what to focus on next (if you would like to receive it).

Recordings of the combinations

Video of each combination and of the choreography as it builds, shared with your block’s group.

The class WhatsApp group

For sharing updates, the music we’re working with, or playlists for practising.

Each week’s combinations build into a choreography

Each week builds on the last, so you’ll leave with a full choreography at the end of the term.

It takes a few weeks to settle into the movements, which is how skills, muscle memory and confidence build over a block.

If you miss a class, you’ll still get a video of that week’s combination, and I’m always happy to help you catch up.

Andreea

I walked into my first class over 15 years ago, looking for something new and fun. I didn’t expect it to become such a big part of my life! What kept me coming back was how good it felt to move to the music!

I’ve kept training and developing ever since – studying with teachers across the UK, Europe and Cairo. I’ve been teaching for over 9 years now, most recently building Bloom from the ground up here in Edinburgh.

BEFORE YOU COME

Questions people ask first

No. The class is open to complete beginners! All levels are welcome, meaning full explanations are provided, with options for everyone to work at their own level.

No. Just leggings and a t-shirt. If you have a scarf at home you can tie it round your hips so you can see the movement, but it isn’t required.

Yes, the class is ladies only. Whilst belly dancing is an inclusive form of dance for all genders, this class is a ladies-only space, which many students find helps them feel comfortable trying new movements and connecting with the group.

Belly dance isn’t one-size-fits-all. Every movement has options, and you adapt it to whatever your body can do. Also, belly dance itself can help to become more fit and improve flexibility.

Most people do. You won’t be the only new face!

Come as a drop-in for £12 on the weeks that suit you. Message me first or book online, so I know to expect you.
